In a recent interview, to an Israeli news outlet, the famous Bitcoin permabull Tim Draper confirmed his earlier forecast that by 2022 Bitcoin price would reach the $250,000 mark.

He also added that this is actually a conservative statement.

Tim Draper still bets on $250,000 per 1 Bitcoin by 2022 but says that’s being modest

When talking to BlockTV the other day, the prominent Bitcoin supporter and evangelist Tim Draper confirmed that he still believes BTC will hit $250,000 per unit by 2022.

Doing this, he bets on a much lower BTC price than the crypto mogul John McAfee. The latter insists that exactly on December 31, 2021, Bitcoin will hit $1 mln. The crypto baron has put his own genitals at stake, so he is expected to be serious on this one.

To reach $250,000 by 2022, Draper says, Bitcoin must grab 5 percent of the overall global currency market. And that, he says, could be only if one underestimates the power of Bitcoin, therefore assuming that the BTC price could surge much higher.

$250,000 means that bitcoin would then have about a 5% market share of the currency world and I think that may be understating the power of bitcoin.

Perhaps, thus he hints that BTC price may come close to John McAfee’s bold forecast.

Pompliano says: Bitcoin fundamentals are getting better

Another famous Bitcoin proponent, Anthony Pompliano from Morgan Creek Digital, tweeted yesterday that Bitcoin fundamentals are getting stronger.

In the comment thread, an argument rose between those who reckon that Pomp meant the rise of BTC hashrate since 2017 when BTC price hit its ATH.

Others disagreed, saying that hashrate does not matter that much when it comes to price moves.
