Poloniex crypto exchange has published a post, warning that today, on August 16, 23 crypto pairs will be removed from its platform. The exchange team explains it by their low trading volume and says that the assets those pairs are made up of will continue to trade separately on Poloniex.

The majority of pairs to be removed are ETH-based. Some have XMR currency or USDT/USDC stablecoins as the basis currency.

Charlie Lee’s response to the move

Among the pairs to be removed from Poloniex is LTC/XMR. The Litecoin founder Charlie Lee responded to the tweet, regretting that this pair is going to be eliminated.

The community’s disappointed

Tweets in the thread from the Poloniex community members suggest that this move is making them disappointed in the platform andit is losing their trust.

Investors are warning the exchange team that this move may push many customers away from Poloniex.

Some even suggest that the platform is on its deathbed and will close down in the near future over low trading volumes not only on the aforementioned pairs.
